    DESCRIPTION

    New Electric is currently recruiting a Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Controls personnel to join our growing team
    The Job:

    This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining the warehouse, as well as managing inventory, and for closing up the shop at the end of the workday. On a regular basis this position is responsible for receiving packages as they arrive and ensuring they are routed/stored properly. They collect all required information and prepare packages for shipping. They are responsible for assisting tradespeople in the gathering of material for Work Orders, and for picking up/delivering parts and supplies to customers and colleagues as needed. Will also be responsible for care and maintenance of the inventory and inventory system as needed.

    Typical decision-making or problem solving required for this position includes:
    • Implementing Best Warehousing Practices and communicating those processes to Electricians
    • Deciding on the priority of repairs (includes researching prices and providing quotes)
    Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Assembling specific materials for work orders for pick up by work teams, if requested
    • Stocking parts in accordance with warehousing policy
    • Maintaining the accuracy of the Inventory System
    • Assisting Electricians in finding parts
    • Receiving packages
    • Shipping packages
    • Maintaining warehouse in an organized manner (includes doing a walkthrough)
    • Ensuring all trucks are in the warehouse at the end of the day
    • Performing Vehicle Maintenance
    • Delivering parts to work sites (includes picking up parts when required)
    • Inspecting returned materials and restocking, or returning to vendor, or scrapping as required

    • Responsible for ensuring the work area is clean

    • Finds a difference between the stock on hand and the records, investigates the discrepancy - If necessary, will adjusts the errors in the system
    • Marks the stock using a variety of means
    • Cleans and maintains the warehouse, tools and equipment
    • Proper storage procedures and inventory control methods
    • Maintains records of damaged stock and damaged warehouse materials-handling equipment

      The Job:

      Our Project Managers are responsible for scheduling resources and managing electrical projects and ensuring that the projects fall within budget, required timelines and meet New Electric's stringent requirements for quality. The Project Manager is also accountable for project invoices and acts as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries while maintaining a high level of customer service. Typical decision-making required for this position includes:

      • Resource management decisions (strategic scheduling) 
      • Ensuring all work is conducted safely 
      • Handling changes in billing due to changes in project scope 
      • Utilizing best practices to increase work quality

      • Demonstrating your commitment to safety in the workplace 
      • Ability to read and comprehend control circuits, control panels and drawings

      • Manage work orders and approve invoices 
      • Oversee and / or perform various electrical field work, installations and troubleshooting

      REQUIREMENTS

      • A valid 309A licence 
      • Eight - ten years of relevant electrical experience, preferably in an industrial setting 
      • Five years of experience with job quotes and electrical project management 
      • Solid knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code 
      • A valid "G" class drivers license with a clean driving record 
      • Detail orientated with some computer abilities

        The Job:

        The Apprentice is responsible, by observation and practice, for understanding and learning the basic skills, responsibilities, and expertise needed to do all required work as an Electrician, while helping Journeymen and other employees with their tasks and contributing to operations. Over the course of time, the Apprentice’s skills will increase, and they will take more ownership of jobs and how they are run, dependent on their abilities.

        • Deciding on the best methods for visualizing, measuring, and estimating work as appropriate for the job situation
        • Deciding when additional materials are needed in order to complete required work

            New Electric is currently recruiting a Purchaser/Shipper/Receiver to join our growing team.

            Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

            • Shipping & Receiving
            • Compare quantity & description against packing slips
            • Purchasing from electrical wholesalers
            • Expediting Orders
            • Maintaining stock room levels
            • Check Stock levels – maintain parts that need to be ordered
            • Receive delivered materials and ensure that parts and quantities are correct
            • Ensure that all materials taken from the stockroom are accounted for and entered onto inventory sheets
            • Post issued materials to work orders daily to ensure project costs are current
            • Measure, identify and mark all wire being returned so that short lengths can be readily found and used on future jobs
            • Ensure that all materials returned from projects are placed in proper locations and credited to work orders
            • Source parts for electricians in the field – order from vendors as required
            • Maintain cleanliness of back shop including stock room, shelving, wire room, etc. – floor to be swept weekly and on an as needed basis
            • Assist Project Managers and Electricians with loading and unloading of vehicles as directed
            • Deliver stock material to job sites when required

              The Job:

              New Electric Enterprises is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team, providing sales support to our outside representatives and our branches across Southern Ontario. Located in the Oakville corporate office, and reporting to the Sales Manager, successful candidates will be responsible for generating new leads, scheduling ongoing follow-up, booking meetings, and facilitating inter-branch communication.
